STRENGTHENING THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN ACCOMPANYING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TO USE GADGETS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The school from home (SFH) policy during the COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on routine activities of elementary students at home. Prior to COVID-19, time spent by children using gadgets ranged 1 2 hours per day, while SFH could spend least 4 day. increasing intensity and frequency gadget use among makes role parents important in accompanying children. Of course, is needed so that can wisely support educational goals, not just for entertainment purposes. purpose this study strengthen assisting through outreach mentoring activities. subjects involved were 30 who have Porodeso Village, Sekaran District, Lamongan Regency. method implementation uses face-to-face techniques (with health protocols), door door, online (online whatsapp group). Based results interviews with after participating program, it shows most understood implemented assistance material principles include: exemplary, agreement, consistency, serenity.
